Indian Dish (Malai Kofta)


For kofta
4-5 medium sized potatoes (boiled and meshed)
150g cottage cheese (paneer)
1tsp chilli powder
salt
cornstarch (for binding)
oil (for frying)
For Gravy
3 tbsp oil
1/2 tbsp cumin seeds
4-5 green cardamoms
3-4 black cardamoms
cinnamom
1 tbsp ginger paste
10 flakes of garlic (crushed)
1/2 cup cashewnuts paste
8 medium sized tomatoes (sauted and pureed)
1tsp turmeric powder
1 1/2 tsp chilli powder
2tbsp coriander powder
1tbsp chicken masala (optional)
1/2 tbsp garam masala
40g butter
1/2 cup cream
sugar (depending upon the sourness of tomatoes)
coriander leaves (for garnishing)
Method
Mix all the Kofta ingredients well.
Make10-15 balls from the mixure.
Fry the balls till done. Set aside.

In a Wok,put oil.
Add cumin seeds, green cadamoms, black cardamoms and cinnamom.
Saute ginger and garlic paste till it turns a little brown.
Add cashewnut paste and tomatoes.
Add turmeric powder, chicken masala, garam masala, chilli powder and coriander powder.
Cook the gravy till tomatoes are done.
Add sugar.
Lastly pour cream and butter, cook for another 5 mins and garnish it with coriander leaves.
Enjoy your Malai kofta with naan or roti!!!!
